Seasonal Yard Waste Service:
- Includes a 65-gallon cart (must weigh less than 100 lbs) + 5 brown compostable bags or bundles per week (bags not supplied by Dick's Sanitation).
- Seasonal service runs from mid-April to mid-November, weather permitting.
On Call Yard Waste Service:
- $4.05 per compostable bag up to 5 bags per week.
- On Call Yard Waste Service runs from mid-April to mid-November, weather permitting.
SMSC Organics Recycling Facility:
- Shakopee residents and businesses can dispose of yard waste and organic food waste at the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC) Organics Recycling Facility for a disposal fee.
- Acceptable waste includes leaves, grass clippings, brush, branches, logs (less than 10 feet in length), stumps, and other compostable material.

Christmas Tree Removal:
- Christmas Trees are picked up during the 1st two full weeks of January.
- To be eligible for pickup, trees must be natural and completely bare - free of tinsel, lights, garland or ornaments.
- Christmas trees are an "add-on" to the seasonal yard waste service and are not included in the base rate.
- Residents can schedule tree pickup on the website here. You may also call us or email shakopee@dickssanitation.com one day prior to your regular service day to schedule a pickup.
