Yard Waste Service Options
Yard waste collection occurs on Fridays only in the City of Lonsdale.

Yard Waste Service Options:
Residents have two options to dispose of yard waste:
- Sign up for the 95-gallon cart yard waste service through our Start Service form. Cost for the service is billed annually in April and for 2025 the cost is $150.00 for the season. A second 95-gallon cart can be provided for an additional cost of $50.
- Dropoff at the Lonsdale Compost Site located at 7480 Garfield Ave. Only city of Lonsdale residents are allowed to deliver material to this location.
Acceptable Items:
leaves | grass clippings and weeds | plants and flowers | sticks and branches
Unacceptable Items:
dirt | mulch | whole trees and stumps | food waste | animal excrement | trash | sod
